Im Zusammenhang mit dem XPERIA X1 von Sony Ericsson habe ich schonmal über das Gerücht berichtet, dass es vielleicht zwischen Windows Mobile 6.1 und Windows Mobile 7 vielleicht noch eine “Zwischenversion” nämlich 6.5 geben soll.  Schnell wurden diese Gerüchte widerlegt. Jetzt hat der CEO von Motorola Sanjay Jha in einer Telefonkonferenz ein paar Andeutungen zu Windows Mobile 6.5 gemacht:

“Windows Mobile 6 has not delivered the experience that I think Apple has been able to deliver, but as you look at the plan that is Windows Mobile 7 and even 6.5, I think there are significant new added features which will help the platform,” Jha said. “We have now targeted new teams which are focused – in California and Seattle – to deliver experiences. That is where we have to differentiate.”

Wenn es wirklich im zweiten Quartal 2009 Geräte mit Windows Mobile 6.5 geben wird, wird diese Version auf jeden Fall den neuen Pocket Internet Explorer enthalten. Doch was sonst noch? Ich kann mir nichts anderes vorstellen. Was denkt ihr?
